About us

The Association of Lisp Users (ALU) is a fully incorporated non-profit Corporation, formed in 1991 out of the Symbolics Lisp User Group (SLUG). The ALU aims to serve as a unifying, non-profit entity that promotes the Lisp family of languages throughout the world.

The ALU's mission is to

• provide high-quality information about Lisp
• organize the International Lisp Conference
• provide administrative support for Lisp-related groups and projects

The ALU is managed by an elected Board of Directors and appointed officers. They can be reached by email sent to alu-board-only at alu.org.

The ALU is run according to the By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation.
